This site does not ask for your name and does not use accounts. It uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used.

Your location

If you choose "Use my location", your browser asks your permission first. Your location is used inside your browser to sort toilets by distance. It is not sent to us or stored.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to count visits and to see which parts of the site help people: for example which pages are viewed, what is typed into the search box, and whether directions or filters are used. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell visits apart. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalisation for this site. Your location from "Use my location" is never sent to Google Analytics.

You can block Google Analytics with your browser's privacy settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Your browser also remembers that you have read the notice shown on your first visit, so it is not shown again.

Services the pages load

  • Fonts come from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
  • Maps load tiles from OpenFreeMap and the map library from unpkg, so those services receive your IP address when you view a map.
  • The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs.

Links to other sites

Directions open Google Maps or Apple Maps, and correction links open the National Public Toilet Map. Their own privacy policies apply there.

Toilet details come from the National Public Toilet Map, an Australian Government dataset. Features, opening hours and access can change without notice, so a listing may be out of date.

If you need a specific feature, such as a Changing Places hoist or an MLAK lock, check with the venue or council before you go.
